Filtration
Self-Cleaning Universal Strainers & Filter Bag Housing
FBH is made of stainless steel vessel employing a unique vane/brush mechanism that continuously cleans stainless steel micronic screens to prevent plugging. The pressure drop across the strainer with 75 -100 micron screen is less than 1 psid (6.9 kPad) at rated flows. The strainer is designed to meet a wide range of HVAC-R applications including ASME certified materials. Processed waste water enters tangentially at the top of the strainer, impacting on a set of interior vanes attached to a floating vane/brush connected to a rotating stem, with the brushes scouring the internal face of the micronic screen. This action also breaks the surface tension of the screen to prevent plugging by contaminants. The force of the fluid applied to the vanes ensures constant cleaning of the screen.
